Bio ~ The weekly visits to the Beauty
Salon with my Mother sparked my interest in all things Beauty at a young
age. I began drawing women’s faces (always adding a bit of color), and
made fashion sketches inspired by my very haute couture Barbie. I was
chosen “Best Dressed” in school, and I was the first girl to have a
full set of professional makeup brushes in my book bag. While many girls
my age wanted to be cheerleaders, I was more interested in the Master
Makeup Artists Way Bandy and Shu Uemura, and collected their
printed works to pin up on my bedroom walls. A career in fashion seemed
inevitable to me. I began my career
as a model here in Chicago - working for clients like Marshall Field's,
Carson Pirie Scott, and Spiegel. I loved the art of makeup, photography
and fashion and wanted to pursue it further. Modeling took me to
Paris, Milan, Tokyo, I always knew I
wanted to work behind the camera as a makeup artist, and learned a great
deal from many of the best makeup artists in the business, in Europe and
